Commercial Considerations

Compare offers on the same commercial basis

Pulse prices are influenced by crop availability, origin, grade, quantity and market conditions. Freight and packaging can also add meaningfully to the delivered cost.

A quotation should state its validity, payment expectations, delivery basis and specification. Because market movement is common, each offer is valid only for the period stated within it.

A quotation does not reserve stock or create a contract. An order is confirmed only through written acceptance and the required payment arrangement.

Compare whole with whole, split with split, and polished with the same processing level.

Same grade and tolerance

A lower figure may cover a different size, colour, moisture limit or defect allowance.

Same packaging basis

Bag material, lining, printing and palletisation can materially change the final cost.
